The Racetrack
The brief was to create a garden for children with space for bikes and skating. A concrete path with a slight tinge of pink colouring to warm the effect was laid around the garden in a figure of eight. Beds of planting were positioned to both soften the look and add excitement to the journey along it by creating hidden areas.
A bespoke playhouse was built under the willow tree, a swing and hard surfaced play area concealed at the end of the garden behind planting, all of which is low maintenance and sturdy to withstand exuberant play. Lighting was put into trees and around the garden to enable night time races around the track.
