The Relaxer

The clients wanted a garden to relax in with a deck, abundant planting and the air raid shelter at the end of the garden concealed. Two decks were constructed, one at the back of the house giving an entertainment space that reflects the interior dining area, and another at the end of the garden covering the air raid shelter.

A path in York stone led from the side of the upper deck to the shed giving dry access. The garden was planted with a strong mix of shrubs and herbaceous perennials in soft blues, pinks and lime, giving a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
