The clients asked for an informal garden with space for children to play and adults to relax. A large decked terrace was constructed for dining and as a dry play area for children with access to both the kitchen and playroom of the house. Steps down onto the lawned area was divided by planted beds to give separate areas and secret paths.
A series of pergolas were built to define areas for seating with one used as a swing and climbing frame at the end of the garden. Lighting was positioned within the beds both illuminating the planting and allowing for an exciting after dark playspace.
